Did I Complete My 2017 New Year's Resolutions?

Every year I write a blog post describing some basic New Year's resolutions, and then I update my readers on my progress once the next year begins. Therefore, today I am writing an update on my resolutions for 2017.  Make sure you go an read that post before you read this one!

Realistic Goals:

#1 Get A Job
YAY! I did this one! I got a job during the summer of 2017 ,which was my main goal. I worked a lot during the summer, so I could use that money during the school year when I had no job!

#2 Apply To College
YAY! I did this one too! I applied to 12 colleges, and have already heard back from three of them!

#3 Be In Atleast 5 More Productions
YAY! I kind of did this one! I was in 4 more productions, but I stage managed a production, so I am going to count this one as well. I really had a great time!

#4 Hit 2,000 Followers On Twitter
SAD! I did not do this one! However, I took many breaks throughout 2017 on my blog, so I could not expect to hit that number, but numbers are not what matter! However, make sure to go follow my Twitter!

#5 Finish Reading The Old Testament
YAY! I actually finished the whole Bible, and I reread most of the New Testament as I now want to go through and study it more in depth. I might even write some Bible Study posts!

#6 Donate/Make 10 Items For The Poor
SAD! Unfortunately, I did not complete this resolution. I wish I did as this is the resolution I wanted most to upkeep, but I completely forgot about it after a month or two. However, I did donate 2 toys to a charity.

#7 See 1 More Broadway Show
YAY! I completed this one. I saw actually 2 more. I saw Wicked for a second time, and Elf!

Unrealistic Goals:

#1 Become Completely Fluent In Italian
SAD! I did not complete this goal. However, I took a break from Italian as I am currently in a college level Spanish class, so I wanted to focus on that for now.

#2 Pass my AP Environmental Exam with a 5
YAY! I did do this. I honestly didn't think I would, but I ended up receiving a 5, which was absolutely amazing!

#3 Go To NYC
SAD! I did not travel to NYC, but it is all good because I potentially might be in the coming year!

#4 Go To Disney World
YAY! I actually did travel to Disney World this fall with my family and it was absolutely amazing! I had an amazing time and I already want to go back.

#5 Convince My Parents To Let Me Be A Vegetarian
SAD! Still didn't do this one, didn't think I would. My parent are very against my want to be a vegetarian, but this year I will hopefully be able to!

Overall, I would say that this year was a success when it comes to how much I achieved my resolutions! I achieved more than I thought I would, and I had a great year!\

Dual Action Moisturizer (Which is better? On Brand Or OffBrand? #2)(Blogmas 2016 #4)

A post that I am very proud of, and that many of you wonderful readers really seemed to enjoy, was my Which Is Better? On Brand, or Off Brand Beauty Blender Edition . I decided to make it a little series because I realize that I love a good dupe, and I want you to join in my journey to great dupes! So welcome to another On-Brand or Off-Brand post!        I think every person can agree that moisturizer is something that is a necessity in a skincare routine, especially in this upcoming winter season! I know in the winter I get very dry skin, and I know that moisturizer can get quite expensive, so I thought I would try out a store brand moisturizer, and compare it to a Clean and Clear moisturizer that I already knew I loved.      These are the two moisturizers that I will be comparing in this post! The clean and clear advantage dual action moisturizer (I know this one is slightly different but I have used both!), and the Walmart...

Life Is Happening RIGHT NOW

One thing that I have really discovered about myself within the past year is that I am way too focused on the future. I often find myself planning my future down to the last detail, and daydreaming.               But let me tell you something. This does not get you anywhere. I realized that I was legitimately spending my life just thinking about a life I dreamed of and planning my future in my mind. However, I soon came to realize that life is happening right now. I am living a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing life now, and if I keep daydreaming excessively I will be living more in my fantasy than in my reality. Though this may sound great, reality is truly wonderful.                I soon began to realize, 'oh dang, I must stop daydreaming'. So that is what I did. I prayed, and I worked hard to stop my daydreaming tendencies. Now I have severely cut down the amount of t...

How I Have Deepened My Faith

A few months ago God truly found me. I knew I wanted to start a relationship with God and with Jesus, but I did not how to begin this faithful journey in my life. However, here I am a few months later and I feel more spiritual than ever. I know I still have a lot to learn, but you always do when it comes to Christ. Here are my tips for starting a relationship with Christ. 1. Pray This is so simple ,but so true. I pray so much. I pray every morning when I wake up to thank God for a safe night. I pray when I am aware I have sinned. I pray before I, or my family eats. I pray before I go to bed. I pray a lot in between. Praying does not have to be a set prayer, you can legitimately just talk to God. It takes a little bit of getting used to, but you get the hang of it as you practice. Remember God knows that you are new to this, and he knows that you are trying and he will help you to learn to pray better. Remember, do not just pray for things, pr...
