Tips and Advice For People Going Into High School

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IfbOCx1pRvE

So I am aware that most of my readers are from the UK and for the UK schooling is a lot different than in the US. For those of you in the UK high school in the US is years 9-12 when you are between the ages of 14-18. So last year was my first (freshman) year of high school and in the fall I will be a Sophomore (year 10). I thought that even though a lot of my readers are from the UK that I would write some tips that I would have liked to know before going into high school, and maybe someone can get some help from it!

Tip  #1
If you walk into a class on the first day and don't have any friends in the class don't worry. Just sit with someone you either have had a brief conversation with before, a friend of your friend, or even just someone who looks lonely or friendly. No matter what you will eventually have someone in the class that you will be able to talk with even if they don't end up being a 'friend'.
Tip #2
Use colored pens when you take notes! This is something that I have always heard other people say ,and just ignored it. However, last year I used a different colored pen for each unit that we did. For example: Unit 1 DNA color:blue Unit 2 mRNA color: purple. This helps so that when you are studying for a test you make sure you only study the information that you need to know!
Tip #3
Don't care! This is my most important tip and that is to just not care what others think. I have always heard people say this and I always thought that it was so much easier said than done, and it is! But for me my Freshman year for some reason just made me realize that I have very few years left with the people at my school and I just stopped caring what other people thought, and let me tell you I have become a much happier person.
Tip #4
Use flashcards! Flashcards literally have saved my life! For some reason they just help me learn information so much easier! You can just write a question on one side and the answer on the other. Even if you don't know specific questions you will have to answer just use your notes and make up questions from those.
Tip #5
Get involved! This is the perfect time to start a new sport, club, or other activity. This helps you meet more people not only in your grade, but in other grades as well. Plus, you will have something in common to talk about with other people in the group since you have the same interests.
 Tip #6
Upper class men are not as scary as they seem! So many people seem to be afraid to talk to juniors, or seniors that they may have a class, or other activity with! Well don't worry most of the upper class men are super nice and will talk to you! If they don't then they aren't good people, and just remember they aren't all like that.

Favorite Summer To Fall Transition Piece

So unfortunately it is officially Fall! Summer is over yet I am still transitioning clothing wise! So todays post will be about my favorite transition piece from Summer to Fall! The favorite thing of mine for the Summer to Fall season is the vans style shoe pictured above! I absolutely love vans style shoes just because they can be dressed up and down and they also come in many different colors and patterns! I may or may not own 4 pairs of vans style shoes! However my current favorite are these white lace patternes shoes! The detailing on this pair of shoes is absolutely amazing! They have such a nice look to them that is so much better than just plain white! Not to mention they are easy to clean! Trust me I cannot be trusted with anything white! These are perfect because theydo have a summery feel since they are lighter toned, however they also can be worn with leggings and pants to get more cozy! My absolute favorite part of these shoes though is probably the fact that you can litter...

Dual Action Moisturizer (Which is better? On Brand Or OffBrand? #2)(Blogmas 2016 #4)

A post that I am very proud of, and that many of you wonderful readers really seemed to enjoy, was my Which Is Better? On Brand, or Off Brand Beauty Blender Edition . I decided to make it a little series because I realize that I love a good dupe, and I want you to join in my journey to great dupes! So welcome to another On-Brand or Off-Brand post!        I think every person can agree that moisturizer is something that is a necessity in a skincare routine, especially in this upcoming winter season! I know in the winter I get very dry skin, and I know that moisturizer can get quite expensive, so I thought I would try out a store brand moisturizer, and compare it to a Clean and Clear moisturizer that I already knew I loved.      These are the two moisturizers that I will be comparing in this post! The clean and clear advantage dual action moisturizer (I know this one is slightly different but I have used both!), and the Walmart...

What I Have Been Up To In The Past Few Months!

Hello all! So I have been somewhat distant on this blog for the past few months! I have done a lot of religious posts that I absolutely love writing, but I realized that I have been a little distant when it came to talking about other stuff, and what I have been up to! So now I am just going to simply just talk a little bit about what I have been up to for the past few months!           So if you did not read my  2017 New Years Resolution Post  then you will not be aware that I am working hard at learning italian. I love learning new languages, and I have a goal of being trilingual by the time I am 25, and I want to do this with english, spanish, and italian. I take spanish at my school, so I am learning italian at home and I love it so much! It is really difficult to learn a language by yourself though when you do not have the cultural immersion, especially where I am in a primarily english speaking country, ...
