Later on in blogmas I will have a post on an east Christmas gift idea, but I love this idea so much so I thought I would write about it early since it takes some time.
A lot of people love to bake for Christmas. Whether it is Christmas cookies, or making a meal for Christmas night. I love to sew, and my family and I always bake/decorate Christmas cookies together, so what I did was I sewed them all (and myself), a Christmas themed apron. Now, you may not be able to give this on Christmas day unless the person you give it to will use it when they make Christmas dinner, but you can always give it to them to use the next year, or give it to them as an early gift.
Even if you have basic sewing skills this apron is extremely simple to make! If you don't have a sewing machine you can even hand-sew it if you want to (this just may take some more time). However, if you do have a machine then it will only take you an hour to two hours to make the apron. Also if you are reading this and it isn't Christmas time then you can just make a normal apron for yourself or for a gift
The way that I made it a 'Christmas' apron was that I used fabric with a Christmas pattern on it.
At Walmart they have a large variety of Christmas fabrics, and even one with Christmas cookies on it! However, since I made my Mom one for her birthday I got a black fabric with Santas, reindeers, and snow on it because she mentioned to me that she liked it.
I used this YouTube video called "How To Sew A Simple Apron"to make the apron, so creds to her completely. The only thing I did differently was that I did not use the pocket, and I also altered the measurement on the top and side to make it so the top of the apron went to the end of each collarbone.
Have fun! And if you end up making this gift then please tweet me a picture, or tag me in a photo of it on Instagram (@mflbeautyblog on both).
