November has arrived. Here in the states, November brings the holiday filled with food, where we all celebrate what it is that we are thankful for. However, no matter what country you are from, everyone should take the time to reflect and really think about all of the things they have to be thankful for. Therefore, I thought I would help you all out and start off your list of things to be thankful for with 5 things that everyone should be thankful for.
#1 Your Life
Did you wake up this morning? If you are reading this post then the answer to that question is yes. Just think about all of the people who do not have the blessing of life. People die every single day. People die whether old, or young. People die in their sleep, driving to work, etc. Every little thing you do comes with the possibility of death, yet here we are, still living on this earth. This in itself is a true blessing. Now, I don't mean to say that you should fear doing everything, but rather just recognize at the beginning and the end, and even during, every single day that you are blessed to be alive, and this life has so many opportunities that many other people aren't able to have.
#2 That You Are Loved
I do not care how alone you are in this world. You could have no friends, no family, no nothing, but it does not matter. You. Are. Loved. For me, I know that God loves every single person on this earth. Whether you are a Christian, or an atheist, it does not matter, God loves ALL of His children. We all make mistakes, we all have our problems, but he loves us through all of that, even if we do not recognize this love. I know that not everyone believes this, so even if you do not, you are loved by other people, even if they might not know you. In the Bible it commands all Christians to love everyone. There are millions of Christians on this earth that love you. Now this might not be the kind of love that society portrays, but it is true love. It is caring about every single person and their well being. It is wanting to help everyone, and be there for everyone. If you feel alone, and you just want someone to talk to who will just listen, please reach out to me in any form, and I will be more than happy to talk to you.
#3 A Life Of Opportunity
Every day when you wake up, you are given so many opportunities. I know that your location, financial situation, age, etc might prohibit you from doing some things, but there are opportunities nonetheless. Just talking to your parent and making them smile, or learning about something new so you can use it later on in life. All of these opportunities are there every single day, you just have to look for them and be creative. You can always do something new and exciting, and take advantage of an opportunity. Whether this opportunity is to make someone's day, or make a major impact, the opportunity is there.
