4 EASY WAYS TO STAY ORGANIZED IN COLLEGE

College is an exciting time in a young persons life. You are free, you can do whatever you want, eat whatever you want, hang out with whoever you want, etc, etc. However, with all of this freedom comes a tendency for us young adults to get so excited with adulting and completely forget or push away our responsibilities. Something that is super helpful for me in college is just staying organized, so I know what I am doing and when, and so that way I can still have all of the freedom and MORE since I don't have to worry about that assignment that I completely forgot about, etc. Therefore, here is a list of things that help me to stay organized and ahead of the game in college.  Use A Planner This tip is quite basic. Everyone has a planner, but do you actually use it and if you do use it then are you using it correctly? The first thing I do when I get my classes every semester is that I go through my syllabus for each class and write down on the monthly spread out all assignmen...

The True Meaning Of Valentine's Day (Faith Friday #1)

Valentine's day. When we think of Valentine's Day we think of love, roses, and maybe even chocolates. However, do we know what Valentine's Day is actually about?              Valentine's day is actually Saint Valentine's day. In the Catholic tradition Saints have a day (or even a few days) in which their 'feast' is celebrated. Saint Valentine's feast is celebrated on what we know as Valentine's Day, and it is actually the anniversary of the day in which he was beheaded. So why do we associate love with the day a legitimate Saint was beheaded, I shall tell you.          Saint Valentine was a Catholic priest in a time period in which intense Christian persecution was underway. Not to mention that young marriage was pretty much prohibited since it took away from the population that would join the military and fight for the country. However, Saint Valentine would secretly marry young couples who were...

What I Learned From 2 Years Of Asking Myself A Question Everyday!

We all know that we change constantly! Well, over the past 2 years I answered a question everyday in a five year journal. Basically how this journal works is that there is a question for every day of the year and you answer a question each day. Then at the beginning of the next year you go and answer the same questions and see your progression overtime, I have a whole post on it  here .         I have completed a whole two years of this journal, and I have learned a LOT from it. Therefore, here are 3 things I learned from asking myself a question every day. #1 No matter how positive you are that you'll never change, you will.      When I first started this journal in 2016 I thought that I was going to move to NYC and become a famous actress. At the time nobody could tell me otherwise. At the time I also was not a religious person, and I even would say that I was agnostic. However, I today am planning on e...

POSITIVITY PLANNER

Hello there! For my first non -resolution post of 2018, I thought I would stick with the theme of improving within 2018, and do a review of the Positivity Planner! For Christmas this year, my mom and dad purchased me a positivity planner that helps to plan out your 2018 year to be the most positive year possible. I am a sucker for any sort of journal, so I was very enthused when I received this gift. As you can see from the photo above, I also received a new Bible, and a ColourPop eyeshadow palette. However, today the post will solely be about the positivity planner. The positivity planner is set up in different sections. Each month has a section even though it does not flat out say which month is which. It basically has two pages for each month, then a section for notes. Separating these months are pink sheets of paper with cute little positivity quotes on them, so here is a picture of one below.   Before the actually journal begin, there are two pieces ...
