4 EASY WAYS TO STAY ORGANIZED IN COLLEGE

College is an exciting time in a young persons life. You are free, you can do whatever you want, eat whatever you want, hang out with whoever you want, etc, etc. However, with all of this freedom comes a tendency for us young adults to get so excited with adulting and completely forget or push away our responsibilities. Something that is super helpful for me in college is just staying organized, so I know what I am doing and when, and so that way I can still have all of the freedom and MORE since I don't have to worry about that assignment that I completely forgot about, etc. Therefore, here is a list of things that help me to stay organized and ahead of the game in college.

Use A Planner
This tip is quite basic. Everyone has a planner, but do you actually use it and if you do use it then are you using it correctly? The first thing I do when I get my classes every semester is that I go through my syllabus for each class and write down on the monthly spread out all assignments on the day they are do. That way at the beginning of each week, you can look at all of the assignments that are due for that week and figure out when you want to do them. I do a lot more than just this with my planner, so there will most likely be a separate post coming soon about how to use your planner properly.

Make A Schedule
This is something that is super important! Each and everyday make a schedule of when your classes are, when you are going to eat your meals, and when you have meetings/work. Then write a list of the assignments you need to work on, things you need to do, laundry you have to wash, etc. Now, using the schedule for the day, choose a time to do each of the things on your to do list, and BAM you have a schedule for your day. It is super helpful.

Wake Up Early
Sometimes in college you might not have classes until really late in the day, so you could sleep in and not start any work until noon and you would be all set. However, if you do this, every single waking moment in your life will be filled with work and you will probably have escalated stress levels. Therefore, try waking up early. If you wake up early you have more time to do the things you want, and you can do some things in the morning before anybody is bugging you to hang out or go to lunch with them, etc. Sometimes this can be super helpful and you can get your work out of the way, so you can have fun for the rest of the day.

Get a White Board
Having a white board can be incredibly helpful when it comes to staying organized in college because sometimes you write down your schedule and todo list, but you never take it out and look at it, so then you forget about something that you have to do, etc. Yet, if you have a white board, you can write down your schedule, or your todo list, and you will see it and remember all of the really important things you have to do during the day, plus it is SUPER satisfying to erase something on your to do list once you finish it.

These are just a few tips on how I stay organized in college. What do you do to stay organized in college? Leave your tips in the comments because I am always super curious as to what other people do to stay organized!

Dual Action Moisturizer (Which is better? On Brand Or OffBrand? #2)(Blogmas 2016 #4)

A post that I am very proud of, and that many of you wonderful readers really seemed to enjoy, was my Which Is Better? On Brand, or Off Brand Beauty Blender Edition . I decided to make it a little series because I realize that I love a good dupe, and I want you to join in my journey to great dupes! So welcome to another On-Brand or Off-Brand post!        I think every person can agree that moisturizer is something that is a necessity in a skincare routine, especially in this upcoming winter season! I know in the winter I get very dry skin, and I know that moisturizer can get quite expensive, so I thought I would try out a store brand moisturizer, and compare it to a Clean and Clear moisturizer that I already knew I loved.      These are the two moisturizers that I will be comparing in this post! The clean and clear advantage dual action moisturizer (I know this one is slightly different but I have used both!), and the Walmart...

Life Is Happening RIGHT NOW

One thing that I have really discovered about myself within the past year is that I am way too focused on the future. I often find myself planning my future down to the last detail, and daydreaming.               But let me tell you something. This does not get you anywhere. I realized that I was legitimately spending my life just thinking about a life I dreamed of and planning my future in my mind. However, I soon came to realize that life is happening right now. I am living a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing life now, and if I keep daydreaming excessively I will be living more in my fantasy than in my reality. Though this may sound great, reality is truly wonderful.                I soon began to realize, 'oh dang, I must stop daydreaming'. So that is what I did. I prayed, and I worked hard to stop my daydreaming tendencies. Now I have severely cut down the amount of t...

How I Have Deepened My Faith

A few months ago God truly found me. I knew I wanted to start a relationship with God and with Jesus, but I did not how to begin this faithful journey in my life. However, here I am a few months later and I feel more spiritual than ever. I know I still have a lot to learn, but you always do when it comes to Christ. Here are my tips for starting a relationship with Christ. 1. Pray This is so simple ,but so true. I pray so much. I pray every morning when I wake up to thank God for a safe night. I pray when I am aware I have sinned. I pray before I, or my family eats. I pray before I go to bed. I pray a lot in between. Praying does not have to be a set prayer, you can legitimately just talk to God. It takes a little bit of getting used to, but you get the hang of it as you practice. Remember God knows that you are new to this, and he knows that you are trying and he will help you to learn to pray better. Remember, do not just pray for things, pr...
