I think I am entitled to say that I have a very hectic schedule. I know there are people who probably have much more difficult schedules to manage, but mine is pretty crazy. I kinda love it though because it keeps life interesting. Overtime I have learned some tips and tricks to manage a heavy schedule with minimum stress.
Before I start I would like to say that I am not the kind of person who stresses out, so you might still be stressful with this ,but probably not. Also just to give you insight on my hectic schedule, let's just say that for 2 days this school week I will be leaving for school at 6:30 am and not getting home til 9:00 pm, soooooo yeah.
Tip #1: Plan Ahead
I cannot even begin to say how important this tip is. This week I knew that I was not going to be getting home until 9 pm on Thursday and Friday, and normally this is when I go to sleep, so I planned ahead. Luckily, a few of my teachers give us our homework for the whole week on Monday, so I planned ahead and got this done early so I would not have to work on it later in the week, and save that time for other homework, and studying. This is so important, and on extremely hectic weeks I completely make a schedule of my assignments and when I am going to do them!
Tip #2: Do not waste ANY time
This tip is also very important. If you have any down time at school, do your homework so you do not have to at home, or late at night. If you have a study, or time before class starts in the morning, go to the library. Also do your homework right when you get home, so you can finish it and then sleep, and trust me getting a good nights sleep can legitimately make or break your grades at school. Wasting even 5 minutes watching a video, will take away 5 minutes that you could be sleeping later on, which can lead to 2 more points on that big test tomorrow. Also if you are crazy busy skip your makeup/hair in the morning and do a little bit of work.
Tip #3: Take productive breaks
Obviously if you have hours of work to do, you are going to take a break. However, do not let this break be for something unproductive like napping, or watching a YouTube video. Instead, take this break to do something that you need to do anyways, but that is more mindless than work. For instance, when I have a lot of homework I like to take a break and write some of a blog post, or shower, or eat dinner.
Trust me, when you plan ahead and know how you are going to manage your work, that alone can minimize your stress completely. Something that is extremely stressful, is feeling like you don't have time to do something, or that you don't know how you are going to do everything you have to. So plan ahead.

Elizabeth
